Meeting Start= ed 6:05pm.

Attendance=

President, Secretary and 11 members were present.

1.&n= bsp; No Old Bus= iness to Discuss.

1.&n= bsp; Nomination= s and Vote for the 2009 Tempe Men’s Club Board.

The board members for 2009 Tempe Men’s Club season are as follows: President – Bill Gorman, Vice President – Greg Salz, Treasurer – Wendell Rote, Secretary R= 11; Mike Kamolz. The Members in attendance motioned to keep all board members as is for the 2009 season. The Board was asked if they would = like to continue on again for the next coming year. All board members motioned that th= ey will accept the responsibility if no one wants to step up for any of the positions. Members second the motion. Motion pasted the keep the existing board for the year of 2009. Members in attendance agreed that = the current board was doing a good job.

2.&n= bsp; TMC Holiday Party.

The Holiday Party will be on December 13, 2008. The Date will be posted on the website. Tentatively, the Hol= iday Party for 2008 will follow the same format as the Holiday Party 2008, buffet style with two drink tickets per member.

3. Club Championship and the number of e= vents played in Season 2009.

With the Club Championship being moved to December, the Bo= ard would like to increase the amount of events played to qualify for certain tournaments. Starting in 2009= , a TMC member will need to play in at least 2 events prior to the President= 217;s Cup, and 4 events (to not include the President’s Cup ) leading up to= the Club Championship, 6 events total. New Members joining after the President’s Cup will have to pla= y 6 events total to qualify for the Club Championship.

4.&n= bsp; Pairings a= nd the Social Aspect plus more Team Events.

One member was wondering how the pairings were configured. This individual w= ould like to be paired with more members of the club and see more team event bro= ught back into the schedule. The P= resident explained that some members like to play together and others don’t mi= nd who they play with in tournaments. <= /span>Random pairings need to be in effect for the social aspect also. The Board made no= te and will see what they can do for the future.

5.&n= bsp; Team Champ= ionship.

The Team Championship was determined to be a success. 3 Teams did go on to play in the Qualifier at Lone Tree in November. The Board will keep this tournament in place for 2009.

6.&n= bsp; Pace of Pl= ay.

Discussion about pace of play, the board mentioned that we have just about looked at everything possible to speed up play (without spending TMC monies). Conclus= ion, that TMC in general are slow, public play before the events are slow, and n= ot much could be done besides getting the 1^st tee times of the day = or monitoring our own pace of play with board or club members.

7.&n= bsp; Brand New Carts.

Getting Carts shouldn’t be an issue anymore with the= New shipment of Carts that Ken McDonald just received.=

8.&n= bsp; Bring in N= ew Members.

An Idea of bringing in new members was to maybe have membe= rs fill in spots of the next tournament with their guest. The Board would talk with the Tour= nament Chairman to see if that would be possible.
